Our Story
Let’s Try Something Different
He (Jesus) said, “Throw the net off the right side of the boat and see what happens.”
— John 21:6 (The Message)
We live in a moment where old ministry models often struggle to connect with people. Our culture is shifting rapidly, and many of us are sensing the same call: it’s time to listen afresh to Jesus—and try something different.
That’s why Saturate the City began - with a simple posture of curiosity and obedience. Like the disciples who heard Jesus’ invitation to cast their nets on the other side of the boat, we’re asking:
What if we did ministry differently?
What if we stopped trying to go it alone and instead built networks of mutual support, where leaders are encouraged, equipped, and empowered to love their cities well? What if Jesus-centric leaders across our cities, and the broader PNW, prayed, strategized, and acted on behalf of their cities and each other?
What if we began to see our cities—not as isolated places—but as interconnected parts of a greater regional movement of God?
We believe transformation happens when people are discipled in the way of Jesus—and when leaders of every sphere are discipled to bring Kingdom values into the systems and structures of our communities.
Our vision is to see Pacific Northwest cities saturated with the presence of Jesus. That happens when we return to the original ways of Jesus: making disciples who make disciples, serving with humility, seeking to influence the systems of our communities for the Kingdom, and living in Spirit-empowered unity across our region.
We don’t have all the answers—but we’re committed to throwing the nets on the other side, together. And we believe something beautiful will happen when we do.
